forum links ..
I'd like to know if something like this already exists, maybe I'll do it on my own in my vacation next week if not ..
I run a guild forum basically for 2 online games.. my current forum structure looks like: + global forums (cat)(id:1) +-- news (cms news) (id:2) +-- global chat (id:3) +-- off topic chat (id:4) + game eq2 (id:5) +-- eq2: open chat (id:6) +-- eq2: recruit (id:7) +-- eq2: member area (cat) (id:8) +---- eq2... (internal forums) + game wow (id:15) +-- wow: open chat (id:16) +-- wow: recruit (id:17) +-- wow: member area (cat) (id:18) +---- wow:... (internal forums) now i have links to the global area, the wow area and the eq2 area .. most member have the eq2 area or wow area bookmarked so the global area is not visited that often .. what I want is hide tie global area .. and mount the global forums to the other both categories .. like + game eq2 (id:5) +-- news (cms news) (id:2) +-- global chat (id:3) +-- off topic chat (id:4) +-- eq2: open chat (id:6) +-- eq2: recruit (id:7) +-- eq2: member area (cat) (id:8) +---- eq2... (internal forums) + game wow (id:15) +-- news (cms news) (id:2) +-- global chat (id:3) +-- off topic chat (id:4) +-- wow: open chat (id:16) +-- wow: recruit (id:17) +-- wow: member area (cat) (id:18) +---- wow:... (internal forums) hope it's understandable what i search ps: i know you can use normal weblinks as forums.. but i want the read markers, last posts and stuff viewable in the forum listing pps: the forums still can have the global cat as parent .. so i don't want them inherit the permissions from the other categories |
