Send email on IP
I have a member on my forum that has a static IP and i posting abuse all over the place. I ban him and he re-registers.
I don't want to ban the IP because that will force him underground and he will get a new IP and keep posting rubbish - making him harder to track. What I am after is a quick code hack whereby if a post is made from this particular IP, an email is sent to the board administrator informing them of the username and URL of the thread he posted in. I assume this is just a mail() function inside the submit post page - but i'm not familiar with the code enough to do this. Failing this - another possible way of doing this would be an option to send an IP address to coventry - where if the post is made from that IP it is mass-ignored. Can anyone help me? |
