Looking for some help for a little customization

Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me out alittle bit with this little customization that I need...

basically what I would like to accomplish is the following..

My forums look something like this

But I want them to look liket his

(without the repetition of course

)

Hope someone can help me, I would really appreciate it.... oh and if this has been done before, sorry for the inconvenience (did some searches did not find anything) and could you post a link to the existing thread...
