2 Different Footers Needed

2 Different Footers Needed

I would like to add a different footer to some templates, because one takes a dark colored font and the other is light.

I know there MUST be a simple way to do this, but I am just not doing it correctly. I am running 2.30

I have a clue that it is in the Style or Replacement set, I would like to call it footer2 and have it as a variable $footer2

What I have tried so far isn't doing what I want. Would someone please tell me what I need to do?

Previously I have gone in and replacement all the footers where needed, with the different one.
