Silent bidding auction
I'm not sure if there are already hacks that exist that could be modified to do this or not, but here's what I'm looking for:
I want to establish a silent bidding auction system. This is to be used (at this point) exclusively for graphic art created by my users (avatars, wallpaper, etc). I'm picturing a gallery in which all the items are displayed, and then an entry box where members can add there bid (using the uCash points they're acquiring). I would like the entries to be added to a log accessible only to mods and admins, so that the members don't know who bid what. Upon closing the auction, the admins can reference the log to see which member had the highest bid, and then enact the exchange. I realize that actual integration with uCash is an issue for those coders, but at this point, that's not what I'm looking for. Essentially, the number added will be an abstract amount, and upon closing the auction, the admin would remove that amount from the member's uCash points, and send them the item. A block on right-clicking and downloading in the display gallery would be essential. So, anyone have any ideas on how I could do this? |
