Displaying VBulletin features on an external site?
Forgive me if I'm asking a stupid question, but I inherited a VBulletin board from the previous webmaster and he's left me blind with no information.
For one historical reason or another, our forum site is hosted separately from the main site. I'd like to link the two somehow, either by displaying the most recent post title or (and this is what I'd really like to do) including a small voting panel for polls. Is this possible using HTML? The complexities of my site's inherited hosting setup mean that I'm not allowed access to install databases etc on the server, and getting the people concerned to help me do so is close to impossible. If I'm going to pull this off, therefore, it'll need to be done in a manner that only requires inserting code into .html, .shtml or plain text pages. I've got text editing access and that's about it, so you see my problem. Is there a way? Thanks for taking the time to read this. If any of you could help, I'd be eternally grateful. Regards, Iain. |
