Manage Ads and Add New Ad don't work

We have vBulletin 4.2.2 Patch Level 1. We realized that we no longer have Google Adsense ads.

I looked in admincp and we have Advertising. Then Manage Ads and Add New Ad. When I click on either of them, I go back to the admincp control panel and the left column is missing.

How do we get Manage Ads and Add New Ad to work?

We have php 5.2.17.
