Copy Thread To CMS Widget/Mod request

Hey folks,

I know there is already an option to promote a thread to an article. this basically just copies the thread to the cms so you end up having the same content in your forum and your cms.

I really want to be able to have certain threads display in a widget on the cms page. The only thing that is close to this right now I believe is the recent threads widget. This works fine but I want to be able to pick the certain threads that display and not just have the recent ones display from a group of forums.

I can envision a link in the postbit displayed per usergroup so perhaps only admins or mods can see it. Instead of having the link there that says "Promote to Article" there can be a link that says "Post to cms" or what ever.. Then when someone replies to a comment on the main page to this submitted thread the comment will actually be in the forum.. Right now we have people who comment to the exact same content only some seen it in the cms and others see it in the forum..

I hope this makes sense but if not please let me know and I will elaborate further.

##Is there any type of a current solution for this issue? How are you guys handling this? This was never an issue for me until I started actually creating articles.. Now I have articles and also threads..I have them categorized but I just do not think this works well for seo and for organizing content.
