How can I fix this bad variable in template?

I switched to a new template and it's causing this error. It should display a picture to the left of a folder like in the default template instead of a linked duplicate of the thread title. How can I fix it and where is the code located? Below is a screenshot.



The picture is navbits_start.gif. The picture is uploaded and the template where it's referenced is navbar and is unchanged from default. Where else could it be getting messed up?

Nevermind, I changed from the template button set back to the original ones and it's fixed. I have no idea why since the buttons were uploaded and correctly referenced.
