Forum list display options not working, Comparing the codes why...
Hey guys, if you've seen my other thread you know the problem- I'll explain it in brief-
When I use 2-2-1 or 1-1-0 as the display options, I cannot link to a new page with the sub-forums- what happens, is when the category is clicked on it works as an anchor- the page won't change, and it will go to that category as being top of page- and the address bar changes to reflect an anchor (as in it becomes forum.x.com/#categoryname) I really have no idea how the code works, but using some logic I think I've located the problem- I'm just not sure how to fix it, and I could really use your help here. When I used the 'hooks' to disable all the plugins, it worked fine. However, I have no idea what could cause this.. my only plugins are vbSEO plugins... Any ideas? EDIT: It's definitely VbSEO that's causing this... hmm... anyone know what to do? EDIT: I FOUND IT!!! It's the vBSEO Init Startup plugin (init_startup) ... Why would this be causing the issue though?? How do I fix the plugin? EDIT: The file is called functions_vbseo.php ... does anyone here know php and can take a look at it for me? The file is large, and although I was able to figure it all out this far, I think this is way beyond me... --------------- Added [DATE]1277270316[/DATE] at [TIME]1277270316[/TIME] --------------- The fix: 'Direct Category Links' in vbSEO needs to be set to 'No'. It's near the bottom of the vBSEO control panel. I can't believe I spent almost a week looking for this and nobody knew about it.... I hope the next guy sees this post and has an easier time |
