imported_avatars and Import option in Admincp

Two stupid questions...

(1) I imported from phpBB 2+ years ago. I have a folder called "imported_avatars" in my file structure with all of the original avatars that were in phpBB. Can I delete that folder? I see there are some old, OLD avatars in there, from users who I know have since updated their avatars or who have left the boards, so I am wondering if it's even used for anything after the import?

(2) My import option still shows in my AdminCP and I know there is a way to get it out of there, but can't remember how...
