Calendar "Layering"
I have no idea if this is even possible or useful to most forums, but here goes...
Background: I am currently setting a forum up for our local homeschool group, which is very large (250+ families). I feel that we really need to have four separate events forums linked to four separate calendars: "Group Events", "Local Events, Exhibits, and Attractions", "Ongoing Classes and Sports Programs", and "Homeschool Vacations". We have enough activities to warrant this, but, I am afraid it might get confusing going back and forth from calendar to calendar. On the other hand, if we just have one calendar, seeing all the information together could be overwhelming. So, I am wondering if there is some way to write a hack that would allow the user to layer various calendars of their choosing. Even if it was just one option to see all calendars overlaid at once, that would be helpful. I would really like the members to have the ability to view the calendars in the way that is most useful to them. Does this make any sense? And is it possible to write something that would do this? If so, any takers? |
