Yarub's Custom Made RPGs
I'm not too sure as too how many of you have heard of the RPG Makers, but I've become rather fond of them. I'm still learning the more-difficult parts of the programs, but I've got most everything down.
For those of you who do not know what RPG Maker is, it's a fairly advanced program that lets you create role playing games from scratch. While providing you with images, it gives you a GUI that allows you to input text, HP, monsters, weapons, etc. It's an incredibly fun application to use. To the point of my thread, I've made quite a few of these RPGs. I ask my friends and users what kinds of games they want me to make, and I make them. I currently have seven games that I've released to my community, and I'd like to see what you guys think of them. To some people, installing these games can be scary as you have to mess with files in some cases; however, I can assure you everything is safe. There should be instructions as to how to install each game within each ZIP folder. If not, just let me know and I'll link to online instructions. Below are the games. Below each description is the approximate length it takes people to beat it. Each link will take you to the download page on section02.com. You may also view screenshots there. MrPink's Adventure {RPG Maker 2000} This game was designed while I was working for GameBattles.com. MrPink was the head moderator and I was the Co-Head Moderator. I thought it would be funny to make a game about him. I did so, and everyone loved it. This game sparked my love for RPG Maker. =D [ 15 minutes ] GameBattles Honor Quest {RPG Maker 2003} After the great success of MrPink's Adventure, I decided to make a sequel that would show the advancement of MrPink and his fellow co-workers. In this game, MrPink finds himself in a dream-like state and is approached by the site owner with a quest. Asked to defeat each console general manager and bring back the crystals of each castle, MrPink sets out on an adventure with his trusty side-kick Yarub. Throughout his journey, MrPink picks up and drops off several of his friends in order to procceed through areas in which he could not do so himself. All may seem to be going well, but after obtaining the third and final crystal, MrPink is surprised with a surprising surprise. How will he handle it and what will come of it? [ 90 minutes to play ] Treasure Hunt 1.0 {RPG Maker 2003} Familiar with the game you used to play as a child known as a treasure hunt? This game features a city-based scenerio with mission of collecting clues. Built with a bit of a thinking requirement, Treasure Hunt allows for the player to go from one clue to the next without flying through. However, the beginning clues are a lot easier compared to the last clues. [ 30 minutes to play ] Treasure Hunt 2.0 {RPG Maker 2003} Following the same style as Treasure Hunt, the next game features a new scenerio with new clues. Built with less thinking required, Treasure Hunt 2 allows for the player to go from one clue to the next without thinking too hard. However, the later clues are a bit more challenging compared to the first game. [ 25 minutes to play ] Treasure Hunt 3.0 {RPG Maker XP} You're trapped in a snowy area and need to find your way out. However, this isn't any old bat cave. The area is surrounded with beasts and other evil predators. It is up to you to figure out how to get yourself out alive. [ 45 minutes to play ] The Maze {RPG Maker 2003} It's a maze! Find your way out! This game is saved as Project1 for some odd reason. I can't find it on my computer anywhere so I'll have to get new screenshots. [ 5 minutes to play ] The Maze II {RPG Maker XP} The first maze was rather short and rather tedious. Few finish. That being said, I've created a maze-like game that takes place in a dungeon. No fighting or anything; just find you way out. [ 5 minutes to play ] Frequently Asked Questions Q: Is the Harmony.dll file absolutely necessary to play? A: Yes it is. It is the sound driver of the game and will not play without it. Just place the Harmony.dll file into the same folder as the maps. Q: What's the difference between RPGM2000, 2003, and XP? A: Merely different versions. There are no security issues. There aren't any problems. It's just more technology as time goes by. However, the XP games will be your favorite. =D Q: Are there any screenshots before I download? A: Those links will not take you directly to the download. You will be taken to the page with screenshots, descriptions, support, and the download links. Q: I saved on 2000 or 2003 and came back.... and all of my information is erased. A: This is a bug in those two versions. If you save, close the program, and open it again later, it does not cache properly. Only RPGMXP will properly go back to the save point. Q: I played and want to uninstall it. How do I uninstall it? A: It's the same as any other application. Go to Add/Remove Programs in your Control Panel. I cannot be held responsible for any problems that happen to your computer. I can assure you that these games are safe and I haven't heard of any problems. However, you have to physicaly move a (safe) file after installation and you might mess up. Haha. Please feel free to IM me on AIM or MSN if you need instant help. I can also be reached via PM or email, but those are obviously viewed less. I hope you like them. Enjoy!
