Major Additions - Zoints SEO

Therefore, Zoints has been developing an extremely powerful vBulletin forum SEO and revenue enhancing solution for more than two years now. However, because we are focusing on our Forum Network and Thread Tagging System, we have decided to release this SEO solution to the vBulletin community under the lgpl license. Zoints SEO is now open source and NOT supported by us. We hope that the vBulletin dev community comes together to take this already powerful solution and make it even better. Empower yourselves

Known bugs

1. If a user disables cookies, infinite redirect loop.
2. index2, index3 pagination breaks some things. Standard p2, p3 works fine.

No. You shelled out $150 you didn't need to spend but that's now history. You don't need Zoints SEO.

The reverse is also true: if you already have Zoints SEO installed, you don't need vBSEO.

thats cool, I just wanted to make sure...I was looking for url conversion months ago, and i never could find anything that would do what VBseo did, so i bought it...no big deal.

I did a quick search for anyone else encountering this, but couldn't find antyhing.

Anyhow, I tested this on a vb3.5.7pl1 and it works great - except my navbar & breadcrumbs vanish from sight... Any ideas?

I can tell you that it's not this add-on. It's some other issue.

Are you using a heavily customized forum style? Try viewing it in the default vB style and see if you still have the problem.

Thanks djbaxter... I realised what the problem was - as you said, nothing related to this. It was a previous effort at URL rewriting I'd made, and in doing so had to remove the $navbar myself as it caused problems with vbadvanced. Once i'd remembered this, I reset to original values and hey-presto!

To anyone using vbadvanced LINKS directory, simply add

define('VB_AREA', 'vBLinks');

to the (links) config file, at the bottom.
Similarly, anyone using Mary's vBNews, use:

define('VB_AREA', 'vBNews');

to the vbnews config file.

Works a treat.

Credit goes to rsj1, as reading a post she/he made gave me the idea for the vbnews.

This alsodoesn't work with digg.com when submitting url's - digg continually asks for the url again... if anyone has any ideas on how to fix that, i'd be very interested.

Don't use mod_rewrite.
