This is the most current repository of definitions for DJ's AME :: The Ultimate Automatic Media Embedder. These media definitions will expand your AME to support embedding from hundreds of websites. More videos. More than videos. These definitions will let you embed content from sites that include games, widgets, music players and so much more.

This repository was seeded by contributions from the vBulletin community over several years, but are curated here for easy access. Special thanks to Hotwheels and Danyloski for starting the tradition.

IMPORT
DEFINITIONS ARE NOT INSTALLED They're imported through your AME CP. Which means you have to have AME installed first. You DO NOT import definitions through your Product Manager. I mean, you can try. But I'll make fun of you.

The READ ME file explains in more detail. Please don't skip it. I named it in big letters and everything.

I can't stress this enough. I NEED LINKS in order to troubleshoot problems. Links to the video. Links to the thread. I can't do anything without knowing what videos are causing the problem. If all you do is post that a particular site is not working and provide me with nothing to look at, well, how can I fix it? Following this simple guideline will save us both a lot of time and effort. (And check the FAQ on the first page. I worked really hard on that one. :erm: )

Please note that I do new definition requests in the order they were received and as timely as I can.

I am having problems with photobucket video's suddenly not working, I see on your demo page it is also not working, the last one, post #10 here - http://www.cogonline.net/forums/showthread.php?t=52177

this is one of the biggest and most used video site, it is sad that this mod doesnt work with dailymotion..

I haven't been able to get back with a lot of you over the last couple of months because of repeated family issues and illnesses. Been a rough year overall for us. Give me a chance to regroup, because I'm really behind now, and I need to sort some things to get this and all my other modifications, not to mention my websites and comic projects back on track.

Quick question maybe someone knows... I am installing this today, and would like to know on the locally hosted videos edit, do I just put my site name in, or because my forum is located at forum.mysitename do I edit it with that instead?

ETA: I also don't know whether I should post this to you or to the AME 2.5 thread... so I think I will do both. I have tried looking through the threads but can't seem to find the issue.

I have had the AME 2.5 installed for a long time now (on VB 3.8.5) and in order for just the regular YouTube to convert, I must have "extract destination data" turned off. Turned on, YouTube won't convert at all. Now I have installed all the definitions in here, and none of them will convert, with the Extract Destination Data turned on or off. I have tried at several different sites to be sure (ESPN.com, CBSNews.com, Hulu, Gamesopoly) nothing will convert, just the URL gets posted.

I assume it's me... I'm not the most proficient at all this. I did re-install AME 2.5, and did an overwrite of all files and xml, still to no avail. Any other info you need to help me, I would be glad to provide! Thanks.

Justin.tv does not seem to work, all it does is parse it as a link. Trying to embed the live footage and all I get is a link?

Is there a specific URL that I am supposed to use? I imaging I do not put in the embed code, however, there are no other links for the live...unless I am missing it.
