Get vBindex 3.0.0 for vB3 Gamma/RC1 and above!


Version 1.x of this hack was done by el3m3nt, since then there have been many updates and fixes and as e3l3mnt is no longer updating this hack he has given me permission to re-release it (see Permisson.txt in the zip).

Upload vbi_install.php and select the relevent options.
If you wish to use the shoutbox then this hack is a prerequsit, and needs to be installed first, however if you do not require the shoutbox option disable it in the ACP, otherwise you will get DB errors.

I just patched my vb to 2.2.7 and now vbindex draws a blank (nothing shows on the page). Any tricks available to get it to work again?

step 1

ALTER TABLE 'usergroup' DROP 'canviewvbindex';

step 2

delete template home_header (from admincp)

step 3

again install vbindex (vbi_install.php)

step 4

NTLDR, how would one go about making each left and right sections (poll, login, search, etc) setup so that they are in their own tables?

Giving them each a header image or graphic and their own "box" per se, similar to that of a typical vbportal setup?

clangrounds.com has a good example of this.

He has his site polls, site search, etc all in separate boxes.

Just a small example would be nice.
