Why vBCredits II Deluxe is an evolution of the typical points hack of the last decade

The typical points hack installs a standard column to your user table. You are stuck with it, but if you are lucky you can make it switch entirely to a different one.

For the interested: John has rescinded his offer to allow pixelFX to use his copyrighted works, though this isn't the place to go into the details why. Suffice to say John no longer wishes PixelFXStudios to distribute his copyrighted material.

He has, however, given them permission to continue to distribute existing products to existing customers so they are not inconvenienced - This doesn't include vBCredits II though.

Installing this /breaks/ the current theme when users are logged in. Example:

I tried disabling all the displays which fixes most of the layout (other subtleties such as drop down menus etc. are still messed up). Disabling the product is the only way to get things working.

As you can see from the logout prompt, it seems to be using pieces/colours of perhaps the default theme? It seems to be overriding parts of the theme I am using. There is also this error on the display page:

They shouldn't be, as PixelFXStudios does not have any rights to the source code of vBCredits II Deluxe which was coded solely by DarkWaltz4.
