vBCredits - Ultimate Points System Details »» | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
vBCredits is the ultimate points system for your vBulletin!
Click here for the vB3.6 compatible version Yes, this also works for vB3.8! Thank you to everyone who voted us MOTM Features:
Just follow the directions carefully in the zip based on whether you are clean installing or upgrading Fully integrated with vBulletin and easily integrated with third party scripts: Many hacks allow you to specify a points system by entering the table and column for the points data. Use TABLE: user COLUMN: credits when integrating vBCredits with such hacks (note: you may need to include your table prefix with some hacks)! If you are unsure about integration - ask me! Why is this version not the gold version yet? vBCredits 1.4rc1 went through a long bugtesting process at the official site, and rc2 is largely bug free in its entirety. However, *it is missing most of the admin help and post/thread deletion actions are temporarily removed while I figure out how to fix them. Footnotes: Thank you for using vBCredits, I would be happy to hear your feedback and correct anything that comes up. For more tailored support, please indicate you have installed this hack, and if you like it you can nominate this for MOTM. Use of this free hack requires that you retain the copyright line at the bottom of the forum (PM me otherwise). If you do not agree with this, please do not use vBCredits - thank you for your understanding and support! Show Your Support

Ok, it still doesn't work. I checked EVERY one of the edits and it isn't working. Is there some permission or option I have to change that I am missing. I tried to check, but since I'm not positive what I would be looking for I could have easily missed it.

Anybody looking for integration addons will be dissapointed, the author Darkwaltz4 has shut his site down, since he hasn't released anything in the last 10 months.

Now the fact that we'll probably see Windows 7 before this thing comes out is a different issue.. |

The simple solution would be stop making promises unless you are 100% sure you can deliver upon them. vBulletin developers learned that lesson. Maybe these guys will learn now. Especially given they are part-time (at best) developers struggling to find time to develop vBulletin add-ons. Personally I don't think we will ever see vBCommerce. |

If the site is shut down, then I can only imagine it's to free up time to work on their core scripts. I happen to know that their making progress, but that there's still important work to be done. Work that has to get done along side spending time with their families, and working on their real life jobs that provide genuine income; the higher of the priorities then any vB releases. You'll notice that Waltz is still taking genuine support questions via email. I don't see any evidence as of yet that they aren't 100% certain that they can deliver on their products. What I do see is a lot of non-coders (myself included) criticising the amount of time it takes to code a complex and intricate project, when they have no idea how much time it actual takes to accomplish such a task and they have no idea how much time the developers have to do the actual work. Just because you've been told that a product is under development, doesn't mean you've been promised any kind of time line. The fact they have a heavily developed site, and already a number of deeply intricate products and scripts should tell you that they take this seriously. |

They are very skilled designers and I have had nothing but excellent help and service from them in the past so whatever they are up to....I am behind them all the way!
My thoughts anyways!! |
