vBCredits is the ultimate points system for your vBulletin!
Click here for the vB3.6 compatible version Yes, this also works for vB3.8! Thank you to everyone who voted us MOTM Features:
Just follow the directions carefully in the zip based on whether you are clean installing or upgrading Fully integrated with vBulletin and easily integrated with third party scripts: Many hacks allow you to specify a points system by entering the table and column for the points data. Use TABLE: user COLUMN: credits when integrating vBCredits with such hacks (note: you may need to include your table prefix with some hacks)! If you are unsure about integration - ask me! Why is this version not the gold version yet? vBCredits 1.4rc1 went through a long bugtesting process at the official site, and rc2 is largely bug free in its entirety. However, *it is missing most of the admin help and post/thread deletion actions are temporarily removed while I figure out how to fix them. Footnotes: Thank you for using vBCredits, I would be happy to hear your feedback and correct anything that comes up. For more tailored support, please indicate you have installed this hack, and if you like it you can nominate this for MOTM. Use of this free hack requires that you retain the copyright line at the bottom of the forum (PM me otherwise). If you do not agree with this, please do not use vBCredits - thank you for your understanding and support! Show Your Support

There are options which allow you to set negative credits for some actions as a punishment, so go back through the usergroup options and make sure no actions are set to take away credits (no numbers have - next to them in the boxes). Then, recalculate the credit totals.

Hi,
As per the instructions this part of the Template edits does not exist in my vbulletin default skin which is VB original. Wll the Script still work fine if it is not added? so far I have not gotten any complaints with this part missing. Thanks HTML Code:

Hi,
I have the system installed and everything it working fine. But for some reason i see that when a user creates a thread and then replies to their own thread the credit count does not increase, this is further clarified by statement under posting credit in the usergroup settings. My question is, can i some way get the system to add a credit when a user replies to their own thread, or maybe removing the slice of code that prevents the count increase. EDIT: I found the code in credits_admin.php to allow this, but thats only for mass updates, nothing in the realtime situation which i assum is credits.php Thanks |

there is a specific award in the usergroup settings regarding what you get for a post in your own thread sounds like you have it set to 0

Your right.. this section in user manager: "Your Thread Posting Credit: Applied for all valid posts made in a thread which they originally created." i was mis-reading this, and then when doing an update for "Posting Credit", "New Thread Credit" & "Your Thread Posting Credit" was tipping the credits over the post count, but now re-looking at it i can see why. Thanks

sorry, i was trying to be concise and consistent with titles to all of the settings, and "Posting in Your Own Thread Credit" is what I started with I think
