Many hacks allow you to specify a points system by entering the table and column for the points data. Use TABLE: user COLUMN: credits when integrating vBCredits with such hacks (note: you may need to include your table prefix with some hacks)! If you are unsure about integration - ask me!

Why is this version not the gold version yet?
vBCredits 1.4rc1 went through a long bugtesting process at the official site, and rc2 is largely bug free in its entirety. However, *it is missing most of the admin help and post/thread deletion actions are temporarily removed while I figure out how to fix them.

Waltz, I just noticed that since I moved servers the copyright is coming up as strange characters: +?†?Ÿ

I checked, and I don't seem to have a credit_copyrights phrase. It's in the templates, but not in the phrases. Do you think re-importing the product will fix that, or should I try to add the phrase manually?

I recently installed this mod and it seems to work fine. However I don't undertand how this work as there are some members who get less points then the members that post less posts then they did.

Also, there are some members who are getting negative points. Does the system has a "punishing" point for members who don't post daily?

there is no such phrase. however that error indicates your files or product xml are mismatched - upload the files and reimport the product file to get that sorted out (it wont hurt anything)

make sure you are using 1.4rc2. in the main award settings, uncheck the activity award from the applicable negation awards. with it enabled, users LOSE the activity award * negation multiplier, if they do NOT qualify as active during the time period

also a note to anyone using the latest versions of vbulletin (3.6.10), please let me know if you find a problem with submitting forms that has to do with vbcredits. I dont think there is any off the top of my head, but i might have missed something

Then why the heck do I have $vbphrase[credits_copyright] in my footer templates? (Not arguing. I removed it and it did nothing. I just don't know how it got there. :erm

Funny thing. I forgot I posted here and did just that. I saw something wonky in the Admin CP, and figured I hadn't imported something. Sorry about that. :erm: But thanks.

The credits, what it`s doing exactly. Becausse I read the "installation" in the directory vbcredits/INSTALL and there is a lot off stuff what I have to do.


But what I`am searching for. Is a hack, that`s make it possible when there is a click on a hyperlink. It will add 10 credit points or more. Is that possible with this hack? And is this hack for credit points something where my members have to pay for?

actually the installation should be in line with all the regular large-addon hacks..

also, aside from maybe the profiles or threads, clicking on arbitrary links does not earn you credits. i might put in something for that in the next major release, as it will have a more comprehensive log and be able to better regulate something that sounds quite exploitable :-p
