vBCredits is the ultimate points system for your vBulletin!
Click here for the vB3.7 compatible version Thank you to everyone who voted us MOTM Features:
Just follow the directions carefully in the zip based on whether you are clean installing or upgrading Fully integrated with vBulletin and easily integrated with third party scripts: Many hacks allow you to specify a points system by entering the table and column for the points data. Use TABLE: user COLUMN: credits when integrating vBCredits with such hacks (note: you may need to include your table prefix with some hacks)! If you are unsure about integration - ask me! Why is this version not the gold version yet? vBCredits 1.4rc1 went through a long bugtesting process at the official site, and rc2 is largely bug free in its entirety. However, *it is missing most of the admin help and post/thread deletion actions are temporarily removed while I figure out how to fix them. Footnotes: Thank you for using vBCredits, I would be happy to hear your feedback and correct anything that comes up. For more tailored support, please indicate you have installed this hack. Use of this free hack requires that you retain the copyright line at the bottom of the forum (PM me otherwise). If you do not agree with this, please do not use vBCredits - thank you for your understanding and support! Show Your Support

I believe I know what happened now. When I uploaded my files, I didn't allow for overwrite. In which case, I had already made the older vB fix, but that changed file was never uploaded to the new site. I belive a "doh!" is in order.

right, but the need for that was rectified in rc2 so if you just went with upgrading that, it would both bypass that error as well as put you at the most recent version! (so upgrade now if you havent already )

glad you like it redeemedwarrior
and vrom, if you mean the Post Award System (where admins add/deduct credits from post authors directly from the thread/profile), then those are already written to the transaction log |

Hrm, I upgraded, but I never bothered to check the forums before uploading the old file. =/ Oh well, I presume that having the file edits wont make a difference, right? We don't need to change the file back when upgrading, do we?

that file edit you made only updates your hook/plugin system to the vb3.6.6+ version.
again, the change made to the way rc2 does plugins no longer requires the vb3.6.6+ version (so no file edits needed). so.. upgrading your vbulletin or vbcredits renders harmless whether you made the file edits or not :-p |

** EDIT** Ignore this, i've just found the file. How stupid do I feel
I'm installing this hack now on VB 3.6.9. I don't have TMS installed (I don't think, i've never heard of it) and i've done all the file edits mentioned in the installation instruction file. It says I now need to import the supplied product-credits.xml file through the Products/Plugins system in my admincp. I can't find such a file... I have bitfield_credits.xml, hooks_credits.xml and cpnav_credits.xml, but no product-credits.xml. What do I need to do? Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer |

when I try to award someone some points, it says available is "0.15" and i can't donate above this number, why is that? I thought I can award people as much as i want if i choose? response appreciated |
