DownloadsII

DownloadsII is a download database that integrates into vBulletin. It allows you to upload files, add images to them, create categories, link to external files - and more. It is very flexible and has many options.

Because a lot of people keep on asking this:
This mod works with any version of vBulletin 3.7.x and 3.8.x!

It's also coded 100% XHTML 1.0 Transitional valid, just like vBulletin itself.

Help!!! I can't upload large files??

This is probably the second most asked question. Have a look at this post for the solution.

It doesn't work with GARS?!

If you also use the latest version of GARS, you will get the "Fields marked in RED must be filled in!" error when uploading a file. I provided a fix here on the GARS forums.

Addons

We are offering 3 addons for this mod at the moment (have a look at the bottom of this post for them). DownloadsII contains 5 hook locations for the vBulletin plugin systems, so you can add extra functionality without file edits.

Notes

ecDownloads Buddy is NOT compatible with this version. If you are using the Buddy, you should UNINSTALL it before installing DownloadsII ver 5.x.x. The Buddy's features are now integrated into DownloadsII.
DownloadsII is a direct derivative work from Ron1n's ecDownloads.

and we cannot upload 30 mb
but we can upload manually and link it
any idea?

Hi Jelle,

the Hook called cron_script_cleanup doesn't exist.

There are only the following hooks available:
- cron_complete
- cron_script_cleanup_daily
- cron_script_cleanup_hourly
- cron_script_cleanup_hourly2
- cron_script_subscriptions
- cron_start

I've just been informed there is a 5.1.0 version out. I am current using v5.0.8 with vb 3.7.4 PL1, if I upgrade this product will I loose all my downloads or will they be unaffected?

Little Problem, how i can delete the "":"" for the decription ? (its red marked in pic what I mean)

I can't find it ? Its in the same template like downloads_cat_filebit

I'm running VB 3.7.4 PL1 and have successfully upgraded to the 5.1.0 version from 5.0.8 without a hitch....I just over-wrote all files and imported the product allowing overwrite, didn't lose anything.

Oddily enough I have just made that very modification to my install as I wanted the title and description to be on separate lines and the ':' looked odd. Your setup seems to be slightly different to the version I have (5.1.0) but the following might help:

Open the downloads.php file and find the line that reads:

$smalldesc = ": ".$smalldesc;

Change it to this:

//$smalldesc = ": ".$smalldesc;

This basically comments out that line so the ':' isn't added.
