There's a vB4 version of this mod available: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=231427
DownloadsII DownloadsII is a download database that integrates into vBulletin. It allows you to upload files, add images to them, create categories, link to external files - and more. It is very flexible and has many options. Because a lot of people keep on asking this: This mod works with any version of vBulletin 3.7.x and 3.8.x! It's also coded 100% XHTML 1.0 Transitional valid, just like vBulletin itself. Instructions & Support You can find an installation manual in the zip package (Readme-Install.txt). We try to answer most questions asked in this thread. Please don't send any pm's if we don't ask for them, as we said we try to give a high level of support in this thread. Don't forget to click the install link, so you will receive important update notifications. Screenshots & Live demo At the bottom of this post, you can find 6 screenshots of the front-end and back-end (AdminCP part) of the DownloadsII software. You can see the newest version in action at the Minatica.be Downloads (Dutch). Changelog (version 5.1.2) Jelle
Help!!! I can't upload large files?? This is probably the second most asked question. Have a look at this post for the solution. It doesn't work with GARS?! If you also use the latest version of GARS, you will get the "Fields marked in RED must be filled in!" error when uploading a file. I provided a fix here on the GARS forums. Addons We are offering 3 addons for this mod at the moment (have a look at the bottom of this post for them). DownloadsII contains 5 hook locations for the vBulletin plugin systems, so you can add extra functionality without file edits. Do you want to help expanding DownloadsII (if you are a coder)? Thanks for the info Jedi. I never saw the [img] tag in the row of bbcode buttons so for some reason I assumed it was not available. After testing it it does in fact work. Thanks.
As for the downloads directory thing, thanks as well. I can work around it with .htaccess, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Cheers |

This has worked great for me in the past but I just tried to upload a file to the Downloads database and it gives me this error message: Fields marked in RED must be filled in!
But there are no fields in red. When the error screen appears, my Description field and "Choose File" designation are empty. The File Name and Author information remains. I am running Downloads 5.0.8 on vBulletin 3.7.4. I just tried overwriting the files and reimporting the .xml file but I have the same result. I checked permissions on the /downloads folder and it is 777. I checked the ec_tmp folder and it is 755 but it will not allow me to modify it. Thanks for any assistance. I hate to lose this. |

I did a search, and maybe I'm just not seeing it, but is there a way to replace the comment (not description) editor with the quick reply editor?

I think that would require a fair bit amount of modification.

For the Most Downloaded & Most Recent files is it possible to change these depending on the category the user is viewing?
Eg: if the user was looking at a freeware section then only the files in that category would show up on the Most Downloaded & Most Recent files. Is it possible? |

I did all of the steps add after I imported the .xml document in, I noticed it is only showing up in the vbulletin options, doesnt have the link like it should admincp-downloads, etc
also when I try to access the main page to see if it is working I get the following error? Warning: require_once(./includes/class_downloads.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in [path]/downloads.php on line 135 Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required './includes/class_downloads.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/freni322/public_html/forum/downloads.php on line 135 Website is RadarDetectorLaser.Com |

I was hacked last month and after that I had changed the downloads folder to 755 of course it no longer while it is chmoded like that. But I just found that there was in fact 2 files used to hack my site in the downloads folder. one called sql.php and the other called moj.php both containing base64 code (encrypted)
I am a little worried to change the folder back to 777 incase I get hacked again. Is there anything i should change on my server to ensure these php files in this folder will not function if they are able to upload them again? |
