Miscellaneous Hacks - Top Posters

Top Posters mod for vb 3.6.

This displays a page with the Top Forum Posters for a given set of periods. Two periods are fixed ('This Month' & 'Overall') but can be turned off in the options. The other three periods are user definable (in days) - the default values are 1 day (24 hours), 7 days & 28 days. These three columns cannot be turned off.

The number of posters to be shown can also be set, the default is the top 10 posters. You can also select which usergroups are included (or excluded) in the count, so members in banned groups etc are not shown. Excluded is only available from v3.29 onwards.

If enabled, it will also attempt to add a link to your Quick Links or Navbar. There is an option to prefix this path if you use something like CMPS.

To install just unzip the xml file and import it using the Product Manager

You appear to have no usergroups specified in the Top Posters > Included User Groups setting (vbulletin options).

Thank you.. I uninstalled, reinstalled, everything went fine. Just asking the temmplate designer how to manually add the link now, but it did go automatically into my default template..as you said it would LOL!

I installed this, but I have a Custom Template. How do I get the top posters page to come up??

I am not seeing anything. How do I link it on a custom template?

Thanks for this. I installed for the first time and it did create the quick link but nothing shows up at my sites address: http://www.ncangler.com/forums/misc.php?do=topposters
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I do have a custom Navbar template, but it added the Quick Link and the address looks correct.

Okay I got it. I need to revert the templates to make it work. One caviat though. The automatic script creates the link www.mysite.com/misc.php?do=topposters and my forum location is actually www.mysite.com/forums/misc.php?do=topposters
I know I can go in and manually add the /forums but was wondering if there was something I could do to allow the automatic script to handle it. Thanks for this mod!
