DownloadsII

DownloadsII is a download database that integrates into vBulletin. It allows you to upload files, add images to them, create categories, link to external files - and more. It is very flexible and has many options.

It's also coded 100% XHTML 1.0 Transitional valid, just like vBulletin itself.



Instructions & Support

Requires vBulletin 4.0.4 or higher. Not fully compatible with lower vB 4 versions.
It works fine with both the new editor in vB 4.1.4 or higher and the old one in previous vB versions.

Read the instructions in the next two posts before installing/upgrading this mod!

You can find an installation/upgrade manual in the zip package (Readme.txt).

Though keep in mind that we are running a restyled and modified version of it.

Help!!! I can't upload large files??

This is probably the most asked question. It's mostly caused by some default PHP settings: check "PHP Max Post Size" and "PHP Maximum Upload Size" at your AdminCP home.

Then have a look at this post for the solution to up these values.
Also have a look at this post at vB.com (but ignore the MySQL part as DownloadsII is only using the file system).

yeah i know billstelling but i want this in MB not in B,... Byte = more work / Megabyte = not

whats better to tipe 1048576 Byte (must use everythime a converter)
or just type 1 Megabyte or something else

I just added this to the downloadsII and it puts it right in were you enter the amount. awesome add for it.
I will see if i can come up with a change in it when I get some time but for now this will have to do. I also translated the downloadsII extras mod to english for those who want it..

Could someone help me out a second... Some how my database has got altered but I want to reset the total download number.

We have 100 files in 7 categories.
They have been downloaded 4,294,967,295 times.

So what MySQL entry has the total count?

Hello.
I have this mod in vb 4.1.3

Some users report to me this error:
Report, for example, this url for download a file:

http://www.myforum.com/foro/downloads.php?do=file&id=541&act=down&actionhash=guest

The users have the error with security token, if I click in this url, also, I have the same problem, message that security token.

But if to this url, I cut the final part, the black part: &act=down&actionhash=guest, leaving the url only like this (without the black part):

http://www.myforum.com/foro/downloads.php?do=file&id=541

Any error, and download fine.

It's possible solved this?

This issue I also have in the old version of vb 3.x (and this mod), I upgraded vb to 4.1.3 (and this mod) and continue the problem.

Run this query using phpMyAdmin or so:
[sql]UPDATE dl2_main SET `downloads` = 0[/sql]
(You need to add a table prefix if necessary.)
