Go to ACP -> Forums & Moderators -> Forum Manager -> Pick a forum and at bottom it has a new yesno setting
Go to ACP -> vBulletin Options -> Recipe Mod Database -> Enter the forumid's used for your forum

It's actually mentioned in the first post, albeit hidden under the "fixes" section. That removed the repeated instructions post on my 3.6.8 test board.

I have all of my forum IDs listed but am still get the instructions posted in a separate thread. Any other ideas?

i know your not supporting this now btu a quick question.

How easy would this be to edit (i am assuming phrases) ot work as a games mod database, the basics are there i am guessing ti will mainly be re-wording.

It should be phrased if I remember. Just go through the phrase manager, if not check the templates it was added with. This is still supported, but this version (free version) is not being actively developed.
