This mod's vB 3.6.x version has been abandoned. The new vB 3.7.x version is here.
This will add a radio and TV library to your forum.
Features:
- Users can add / delete / edit own stations
- Favorite stations
- Report broken / duplicate stations
- Full AJAX
- Plays Windows Media Player, Real Player and Quicktime streams
- and more...
I like the idea of subcategories - perhaps Dream will add that in the next version. I do not plan on going through all 370 TV stations and reorganizing them in to different categories any time soon. However, if Dream adds sub-categories I might consider doing that. I like the idea of having Radio and TV as being the two main categories and then sub-categories within those choices, and it would even be nice to have sub-categories to the sub-categories - such as: TV/News/English or TV/News/French etc.
I am glad you understood...
I didn?t say that YOU should reorganize all the stations.
I can do the work in my way and others maybe want another categorie setting.
One question...
If I have put a channel to another category, will it stay there if I reimport the product file?
I did all of that and it was the same result. There was no radiostations_admin.php in the 1.3 upload, hence it did not exist. Also, I checked the upgrade instructions and there is a line there to delete that very file if you are upgrading from a certain version--which I think I was.
Anyway. I solved it by downloading the 1.2 version. Uploading the radionstations_admin.php file back to my adminCP folder.
It found it and now all is well. I had no idea that radiostations_admin.php was supposed to stay in the adminCP folder.
Did you remove your cpnav_radiostations.xml from includes/xml and uploaded cpnav_radioandtv.xml there instead?
Dream - on my forum I have had many people report to me that working stations that require real player are not working because they do not have it installed, and if they don't have it installed a blank screen on the right hand side appears. I would appreciate it if you could add some code that checks to see if they have real player installed, and if they don't then have it show something to the effect of "In order to enjoy this station you must have real player installed. Please click here to install it"
I thought there was already something there that does this. Other than that I wouldn't know what code to add.

I think that the way the mod works - is it checks to see if there is another stream with that same URL, and if it is already there it won't allow it to be added, thus avoiding duplicates.

Yes, I know that, but I is a very long list of categories.
It would be easier if there was some main categories and sub categories under that...

At first my thought was that this could make things a little too overcomplicated, but on a second thought having sub-categories could be nice. I'll consider this, just have to think on how to implement it UI design-wise and code design-wise.
