OK, for the time being I won't be working on that hack any longer. It is time consuming and I won't even use it myself. If no-one else picks it up I'll continue working on it when my other projects are done.

Ixius is acontent manager written in PHP that will support vbulletin intergration (it is required that you have a vbulletin database). It's more advanced than PHP Nuke and does only 4 queries per page. Create an account over at Blizzforums and then try logging in at Brett-g.com and see what happens =) |

Using Brewskie's hack - working on postnuke and vB hack site at http://alliedclans.com works ok so far, have a few issues to sort out with the shared avatar as file hack. Also I am currently re-implementing as a postnuke multisites install but it seems to work well so far. Feel free to poke around and let me know what doesn't work correctly. It counts on the cookies from both vB and PN and I'd like to integrate that (so when you log off postnuke you also log off vB and visa-versa) any suggestions welcome.
Also got the "recent posts" block hack converted from phpNUke to PostNuke and that seems to work if anybody wants that. Next up is a PostNuke block to display the vB calander, anybody started that yet? Happy Hacking! -UF-DeadManWalking |

I used postnuke together with vb for one year now and am happy to switch to vbhomelite (for news & articles)
If you have a lot of traffic on your site postnuke will put your server under enormous load. Postnuke pages did load only slowly. I used some caching techniques at the end (e.g. wget my index.php) but in my opinion it is no good solution. additionally the postnuke part was not accepted very well by my users, as its usage was very different to vb, which most of them love. lately I installed photopost which is a very tight integrated gallery-script which was accepted extremely good from day one. My advice: rethink all the work you (wil) put into postnuke... |

Sorry to hear that, I don't need to rethink anything. I have put a lot of work into customizing my PostNuke site. In addition to that I am a member of the team so I won't stop using it anytime soon. Also very soon it will be very easy to customize the appearance of the pages and make them look like whatever you want.
