Version 2.00 is a major step up from the older versions.
The main difference in 2.00 is the way it works, before PassiveVideo would make the server do all the work. Now 99% of the work is pushed onto the clients machine.
Another major difference is the amount of control Passive Video gives the Admin and User.
Oh and i almost forgot, the embedding is now done with swfObject 2.0 so now you can globally control settings like wmode and it should work in all browsers now.
Admins can now Enable/Disable videos per forum and per usergroup.
Users can now Enable/Disable video embedding too.
2.00 is a COMPLETE REWRITE!

Screen Shots: note: these are of Passive Video 2.0 not Passive Video Lite 2.00, so some features may be lacking in the lite version.
I would also buy the full version however...
Im getting 2 of each video when a youtube test link is done?
I?m also getting always two tube previews when inserting 1 link only and on the vBadvanced portal i?m using all normal BBCode URL tags are beeing shown with the links!
Ditto, getting duplicates here too. Apparently it has to do with the poster using the "insert link" button. Or something. If I manually edit the posts and remove everything except the youtube link it works fine.
I doubt we're going to alter user's habits, so we may have to make the mod deal with url= links.
It seems to be working here. I mean, I can't get the embed to playback full screen (that's the point of an embed I guess), and the higher res doesn't help much in a little window, but the URL is being converted properly.
I'm having an odd issue...
If I post a link to a youtube video (after installing the lite version) and I hit preview it looks great !! But after I submit the post only has a clickable text link with the description of the video. I would like to buy the full version when it's all said and done but would like to get an accurate feel for how it works..
I have been a big fan of this mod under 3.6.x, and was using that version. Saw this one for 3.7.x and installed it (with the intent of purchasing this full).
When installed, 2.0 induced a problem with post previews, resulting in the following error when using the preview function:
Code:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in ...public_html/vBforum/includes/functions_newpost.php(1174) : eval()'d code on line 1
The line error varied, but it was always resultant in this error when previewing.
First disabled this plugin, it resulted in preview working again with no error. Posting continued to work fine, without issue, even if preview was attempted.
Ended up uninstalling this version, and going back to the 3.6.x version, until this can be resolved.
