Version 2.00 is a major step up from the older versions.
The main difference in 2.00 is the way it works, before PassiveVideo would make the server do all the work. Now 99% of the work is pushed onto the clients machine.
Another major difference is the amount of control Passive Video gives the Admin and User.
Oh and i almost forgot, the embedding is now done with swfObject 2.0 so now you can globally control settings like wmode and it should work in all browsers now.
Admins can now Enable/Disable videos per forum and per usergroup.
Users can now Enable/Disable video embedding too.
2.00 is a COMPLETE REWRITE!

Then you copy the 2 directories to forums/clientscript & forums/includes
Then go toy our ACP -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products and add/import this file: product-passivevideo.xml
Unfortunatly the author is MIA so support will be minimal except for those of us that pass by from time to time in hopes he returns. There is another solution here that seems to be well supported and covers many more media types. In the mean time good luck with your forums and hope this got you up and running
using lite.. it worked for awhile.. But then it just stopped
Now it parses the youtube url as if trying to link to it using BB url tags.. but now hypertext words that follow the link
example
when I try tp post this
Code:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1G61d0feaIg
for one it won't let me post the link alone.. like I used to. so now I have to add a description in the boby of the tread..
but when I do.. the link comes out blank
and when I click on edit.. it looks like this
Edit..I have to break up the link for it to be shown
Code:
[u r l= http :/ / ww w.yout ube.com/watch?v=1G61d0feaIg][/url]
Now if I disable the plugin, then clean out the url bb tags .. make the post.. It comes up like a link..
Then enable the plugin again and go back to the thread..
It comes up as it should.
I have vbseo installed, but that was even prior to the installation of the mod.. It worked at first and now.. It's a pain in the ass..
While I know what to do..The members can't post any links to any videos.. They just don't work.. unless I disable and enable the plugin all the time.. That just isn't going to happen..
I really do like this mod!! Just wish there were solutions to the problems
Not working with vBAdvanced on our home page. In the two 007 reviews the YouTube links you see are embedded properly in the forum original thread, but not here.
EDIT: This hack has now been removed and another that actually works installed.
