Installation:
1. Import XML file (as product): AdminCP > Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product]
2. OPTIONAL (custom placement on forum page)
Open desired template and put "$cybchatbox" to desired line.

To set options:
Go to: AdminCP > vBulletin Options > Cyb - ChatBox

To have ChatBox enabled on desired page:
1. THIS_SCRIPT must be defined in php file (by default all important vBulletin files has this)
2. Hack options - You must add THIS_SCRIPT value for target page to "Show ChatBox on" setting field
3. Main template called on target page must contain "$cybchatbox" variable

To have ChatBox enabled on vBa CMPS:
1. Hack options - Add "adv_index" to "Show ChatBox on" setting field (values in this field should be separated by commas) > Save
2. vBa CMPS Default Settings - add "cybchatbox" to "Portal Output Global Variables" field (values in this field should be separated by carriage return) > Save
3. [Optional] Template "adv_portal" - add "$cybchatbox" to line where you want ChatBox to appear (for example below "$navbar") > Save

QUESTION about this product (as I really like it): We can presently disallow usergroups from the chat and we can allow usergroups to see the chat but not post to it.

What I would like to do is to be able to have usergroup that would be publicly joinable that would be the only usergroup that could see/use the chat feature.

There are a number of people on our site that simply will not want to see or use this feature and if they never joined the usergroup they wouldn't.

Is this possible? If it is I can't seem to figure out how to do it.

Right now I have it set that only staff can see/use this feature and I would like to open it to the membership but I want to offer it only to those that want to see it.

Maybe this isn't what you'd like, but there is an option to have the chat box collapsed by default.

ChatBox always collapsed by default (ChatBox Full not affected)

Select yes and those who don't want to see it....it will always be collapsed and those who do, can open it up.

Just an idea I guess.

I too am experiencing this. anytime I try to go to archive with IE. I get alert box saying:
Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site
http://www.mysite.com/forumfolder/misc.php?do=ccarc
Operation Aborted.

With FF it doesn't have this problem.
I tried doing the .htaccess thing, but that did no good either.

Can it be made possible to have the chatbox show up inside a Notice?
I want to have a notice which opens on a specific day and time and have the Chatbox in there.

I have the Notice set up to open on that day and time but when I add $cybchatbox inside the Notice it only shows that text and not the Chatbox as planned...can this be done?

- Optional layouts (message and format options below shout box)
- Change the height of the message box (Id really like to put an image below it)

Great product.

I want to remove the ip address feature completely as it is viewable with permission in who's on line.

Going to cybernetec templates> cyb_archive_bit

I'd like to request a feature.

When ChatBox is embedded and a user has no permission to view or post, the ChatBox simply doesn't show. Is it possible to have a <div> in place of ChatBox that would inform such user that there is a ChatBox in existence however if one wants to use it they need to... then list the rules, for example to have minimum of x posts on the forums etc etc, basically the rules that come from ChatBox setup.

At the moment you have to manually advertise this elsewhere, it'd be good if it was automatic.

PS Also, I would love to see the message input field being flexible, i.e. to have a choice either to have it on the left of the messages or under. Not all the forums use the full width of the screen, so having it on the left only, makes messages area too narrow. I've edited mine but with new updates I'll need to do that again, so it would be cool to have an option for it in the setup.
