Detailed features

Following is a non-exhaustive list:

• Simple install
• Ajax based with:
  • Fast and Intelligent chats retrieval through javascript calls to server files (refresh delay configurable per usergroup)
  • Edit/update by double-clicking on a chat
  • Interact on chats through menus and javascript
• Many usergroup permissions to limit features according to usergroups
• Full configuration of the chatbox display:
  Size, position on forum pages, editor layout (either top/bottom input or left/right textarea) and position, number of chats displayed, ...
• Full configuration of the chats display:
  Authorized bbcodes selection, date/time options, avatar display, ...
• Possibility to create channels (unlimited number) with multiple configuration options:
  • Warn user of new message when not active through blinking image and eventually sound notification

You mean totally disallow ? No it's not possible.

What you can do is avoid url to be parsed and thus not being replaced by links but that's all.

By the way there is no good way to avoid users to post urls as for example you could be able to remove an url like this :
http://***************
but if the user add spaces :
ht ttp://***************

Then it won't be removed... Do you see what I mean?

As it is already (half) announced I was wondering if MGC Chatbox Evo could have/use a similar font, fontsize, and fontcolour menue as used with vB perhaps?
Or if it would be easily possible to adjust this?

Is it possible to give a usergroup only the permissions to delete their own shouts?

Yes but that won't be in the next release which is closed for coding (currently being translated in different languages).

No we weren't talking about the same thing.

It's not possible to make it match the menu in the post creation as these are wysiwyg things being part of vB js stuff. And I am not allowed to copy paste their code on those parts you now (copyright issues).

I would like to completely uninstall the chatbox and reinstall it again, including all tables in the database. Physical files are ok, I can delete them no probs, but I'm not sure what to delete in the database, can anyone give some pointers please?

VBdev should have the newest file to translate. He should reply shortly. Next release should be out soon. No date has been sent, but I'd expect it within next 2 weeks.
