Detailed features

Following is a non-exhaustive list:

• Simple install
• Ajax based with:
  • Fast and Intelligent chats retrieval through javascript calls to server files (refresh delay configurable per usergroup)
  • Edit/update by double-clicking on a chat
  • Interact on chats through menus and javascript
• Many usergroup permissions to limit features according to usergroups
• Full configuration of the chatbox display:
  Size, position on forum pages, editor layout (either top/bottom input or left/right textarea) and position, number of chats displayed, ...
• Full configuration of the chats display:
  Authorized bbcodes selection, date/time options, avatar display, ...
• Possibility to create channels (unlimited number) with multiple configuration options:
  • Warn user of new message when not active through blinking image and eventually sound notification
  • Possibility to select on which specific page each is displayed

1.0.0 Development update :

"One click" install by removal of the commands system is on a good way (commands hardcoded instead of xml files).

The progress on that task is around 50%.

I think I'll have at the end of the weekend a good version where that part is done, letting me then add new awesome functionnalities

I am sure this has been suggested, but many of my members would like to hear a little sound or something when a message has been posted in the chatbox while they are browsing the forums because they don't always check.
Sorta like Instant Messages.

I am sorry to bug you but I have been at this for hours now and no matter what I try nor how many posts I read - no text is appearing in the box. It seems to show okay but it won't display or recognise anything that is typed in. I am pulling my hair out here - please can someone offer me some advice or a solution?

Latest version of vB - new board installation and only a handful of mods (Goldbrick, USC2 and vBTubrPro). Default skin with some CSS edits.

Sorta like Instant Messages.

This suggestion has been denied countless times. It's just not something the core program is looking to have at this time unless VBDev has changed his mind and not said.

Racechick. pm me the info for the site and a test account. I will take a look at it when I get up. I just spent all night rebuilding a server. It's either a security token, mod_security or js issues.

Things are going faster than I excepted. All commands are now integrated in the default chatbox code and thus really cleaning up the install process, no more complicated ways of installing commands !

I am now going to have a closer look at bugs and new features.

I might need some serious beta tester to ensure that command integration has not screwed things up.
