Hi,
Can you please tell me the steps you did to make it work?
I read the manual on how to do it. But i get the feeling that he did not say everything.
Because to him its all natural to do 'this' and to do 'that'. I'm a newbie, I don't know what i'm missing, but tried a lot of things..

I can't find that option?
I just followed the steps in the read me doc from the download and loaded each of the files in to the various folders as stated. Then made sure in the products option in the VB admin control panel that it was enabled and then in the Chat options made sure the chat was enabled - have you been able to verify those? If not I can give more details.
I thought maybe it was a permission issue but like you - not sure where the permissions options are stored to see who can do what.

Kind of a frustrating process.
I uploaded all the files and folders and had the option 'merge' clicked, because the folders already existed. And i confirmed all files where uploaded.
Did you do the Ds_store files as well?
The chatbox has been enabled and product (i think you mean this option: Enable Plugin/Hook System), is enabled too.
Permission - go in to the admin CP -> click on usergroups -> select registered users or some other user group, scroll to the bottom you should see chat permissions there.
My problem is everything in enabled but it still doesnt display the actual chats in the chat box just in the logs. Kinda makes life fun...
One site I deal with they have set up really goofy, Their forums home page is not their .com page. I had to put files in both the forums directory as well as the publichtml directory, th3en upload the xml files.
That fix above cleared up all my problems though.
think u could upload both versions of these files you've modified? I tried making the above fixes and it went from working to saying "loading..."
I must've somehow done it wrong. Only reason I want to fool with it, is about 10 percent of my users say they keep having to manually refresh to see new posts. maybe this wouldn't help that. I know it's not a usergroup permissions issue, because they're all part of the same usergroup and 90 percent of the people don't have issues.

Hehehe funny that worked for me! I can finally see it
