Forum Home Enhancements - Left side column on forum home only

This is the 3.6.0 port of the release for 3.5.x found here.

Changes since the last version
Alignment issues fixed.
Template renamed to group in the forumhome templates.

Installation Instructions
Download the attached zip file.
Import the product.
Perform the template modifications.
Click install

Screen shot attached for those who like to see them.

Upgraded to version 1.0.2

Changes:

• Now valid XHTML Trans
• Fixed to work correctly with vBShout when located below navbar.
• Added vB.org version checking.

that is correct.

it worked fine when i placed the first template edit within the <thead></thead> tags, but when i moved it from there to directly under $navbar is when it messed the shoutbox up

Peter,

Sorry to trouble you with a simple style question, but what's the best way to center the items inside the 'bar'? I could edit the <TD> and place alignment paramaters; or set up a class in the css, or inline; or the frightfull <CENTER> tags nested in each cell. I'm not sure. Thanks for considering to answer me.

I'd use

<td align="center">

myself as that is what is used everywhere else in vB and still allows you to use standard classes for the contents too.

had time to figure out why the shoutbox gets messed up?

and are you going to release the rightside column and the columns on all pages for 3.6?

thanks...strange though...i swear i looked over the 3.6 mods like 3 times before asking that question...though the one for all pages is the one i really need

I've got exams this afternoon (going out to school shortly), so either tonight or tomorrow I'm looking at the shoutbox issues.

With regards to the sidebar on all pages, I'm not sure if amykhar is porting it, but I believe her 3.5.x version works on 3.6.x

Please let me know if you will be using that one instead, as I don't need to look at the shoutbox as priority if you are not using it. Thanks.
