Users or teams can join ladders and challenge other players or teams in the ladder. Elo rating system is used which calculates the difficultly of a match according to the players' ranks and this is taken into account when the ranks are updated after the match is finished.

I'm having trouble. I have installed: product-tournament2008.xml and have rebuild caches. However when I click in my navigation bar for Competitions I get this error: "HTTP 404 - File not found. The page you are looking for might have been removed,
had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."

did you uploaded the files to your root directory of the forum the error mean file not found ....and which vb V you using?

also check your group permissions
Yeah that's what I need to do. Do you know how to up load them or what folder etc. I'm new to this and not sure where I up load them too. I have my FTP user name and what not and use FileZilla but just not sure on how to up load. Wish I had a video or some directions on how to do this.
By the way I am using the newest vB forum 4.2.x I think.

This above ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ are the directions that are with the download, but I do not understand this part, could some explain what this means.. Am I suppose to create a new directory with the name CHMOD 777 ?? I'm confused.. Much help greatly appreciated

1. Create directory \images\ladder_avatars\ if it does not exist
2. CHMOD directory 777
3. Upload (blank) index.html so that no-one can see contents of the directory
