What is it?
gXboxLive is a modification for vBulletin which allows you to display a Xbox Live Leaderboard for your users.

[hr]-[/hr]I use my released mods daily, if I find an issue with them or add features for myself I will release updates. If there are significant bugs or simple feature requests I will do my best to release fixes. Some of my mods rely on fetching data from 3rd party websites, due to the unreliable results, my mods will require users to troubleshoot for themselves if they find the addon is not working for them specifically. I am offering my personal mods that work ok for me for you to use, I am sorry I do not have time to troubleshoot many user specific issues. Thank you for your understanding.

Features

• Lists all ranked Gamertags, each updated once per day
• Optionally show unranked Gamertags (Original Xbox Users).
• Optionally allow Xbox Live message sending.
• Optionally allow Xbox Live friend requests.
• Optionally to choose how many User Names Per Page to display.
• Optionally require a minimum post count.
• Optionally to add a navbar link.*
• Optionally to add a miscellaneous quick link.*
• Choose how recently users must be active to be displayed.
• Optionally display leaderboard statistics
• Limit usergroups to display.
• Limit access by usergroup.
• Optionally display Forumhome stats
• Optionally display Memberinfo gamercard

• Monitors invalid gamertags, 5 attempts to verify the gamertag and then the users gamertag profile field is blanked to prevent further checks.

Installation

1. Download the latest version and upload all files. Images go in the folders specific to your style.
2. Install the product.
3. Create a Single-Line Text Box User Profile Field for members to enter their Gamertag into.
   • Go to yourdomain.com/forumdir/admincp/?loc=profilefield.php%3Fdo%3Dadd
   • Single-Line Text Box
   • Continue
   • Title: Xbox Live Gamertag
   • Description: Enter your Xbox Live Gamertag
     [S]
   • Regular Expression: ^([A-Za-z0-9 ]+)?$[/S] (regex not required)
   • The rest of the settings is your prefrence.
   • Save
   • Look and see what the field id number is for Xbox Live Gamertag, example field25.
4. Fill in the gXboxLive configuration options, make sure to enter the field id for the newly created Xbox profile field above.
   • Go to yourdomain.com/forumdir/admincp/?loc=options.php%3Fdo%3Doptions%26dogroup%3Dgxbl_g roup
5. Send people to their user cp to enter their gamertags.
6. Wait up a few minutes for the gamertags to appear on the leaderboard.

As you can see by the error, two people have entered gamertags that do not exist.

No, I am not sure why no others would show up. Are you sure actual gamertags have been entered? I can't really do the troubleshooting for you, if I knew of such a situation I would enter a fix for it. You should have some semblance of how to investigate such issues and report some more information, I can't just begin to guess what the issue could be.

How will this work or have you thought about it - when MS changes the gamer tags with the fall update ? I hope that that wont ruin this mod for us .. and if they do change I hope you can make a new one .. this is one of the best mods out here for gamer sites ...

I CAN'T INSTALL THE PLUGIN!

When I try to install the plugin..
I hit install and I get this error message..

That says invalid Vb table, and then the sql says dropped.

Says..

Installed this mod this morning - works fine. Install was a no brainer. As I run a gaming forum, it kind of makes sense to have this on our board.

Question. Does a similar mod exist for PSN tags? Do they broadcast their play info like the 360 does?

MS isn't changing gamertags. Just the dashboard. I've had the same Gamertag since Xbox Live went "live" on my Xbox 1. That doesn't make much of a difference, as far as I know.

OK, I installed this a couple of hours ago, and it updated several gamertags fairly quickly. Addded 36 of them. Then as a test, I went into another profile and added a gamer tag (a real one) to see how long it would take the mod to pick up that new one, and add it in.

This was just about two hours and 15 ago. So I went and looked in the scheduled tasks log, and the last entry was just about two hours ago. It found 36 entries right away, but has gotten "stuck" since then. I checked, I have 180 profiles with gamertags in there.

I've forced the scheduled task manager to run a few times since then, but it's found nothing. It would appear the mod is "stuck". I'm not seeing any error messages at all, just that it found noting to do when I force run the task manager. I know there's more than 36 people in my database with names.

Not sure what to do here. Any ideas? If there's a totally bogus one, would it get stuck like this, or would it throw an error? What about if someone does something dumb like enter one with all spaces, or an   ?
