Goldbrick Media system for vBulletin 3.7

Thanks to all who nominated or voted this for MOTM.

Some of you might be looking for Anymedia. Well this has replaced it. It's a total rewrite from the ground up. A huge thanks goes to Sir Adrian for creating the framework. He can't cook soup but he sure can code.

Why the name goldbrck?

From Wikipedia:
Quote:
Goldbricking, in today's terms, generally refers to staff who use their work internet access for personal reasons while maintaining the appearance of working.
From Urban Dictionary:
Quote:
Goldbricking: To loaf or goof around on the job. Supposedly an old union term describing laborers (or more specifically, bricklayers) who were going so slow, it was as if each brick were made of solid gold. One can alse be referred to as a "goldbricker".

Dude, I spent all day at work goldbricking - surfing the web, making long distance phone calls - basically just picking my ass.

Go to your admincp > forum manager.

Select one of your forums - click edit.

Scroll down, my settings for Goldbrick are second from the bottom.

You should see "Goldbrick Settings" and Enable Goldbrick in this forum yes or no.

You have to set this for it to work in whichever forum you want.

Hope this helps.

in the download file for Goldbrick take a look in the goldbrick_doc folders, theres one called usage that says how to use it.

Basically you just copy and paste the link of the video into a post. If you got it set up right you should see the video and be able to play it.

I'm getting this w3 error. Can someone figure out a fix please?
Quote:
  1. Line 768, Column 109: document type does not allow element "a" here.?eturn hs.close(this)" class="control"><img src="http://www.talkjesus.com/gold
    The element named above was found in a context where it is not allowed. This could mean that you have incorrectly nested elements -- such as a "style" element in the "body" section instead of inside "head" -- or two elements that overlap (which is not allowed).
    One common cause for this error is the use of XHTML syntax in HTML documents. Due to HTML's rules of implicitly closed elements, this error can create cascading effects. For instance, using XHTML's "self-closing" tags for "meta" and "link" in the "head" section of a HTML document may cause the parser to infer the end of the "head" section and the beginning of the "body" section (where "link" and "meta" are not allowed; hence the reported error).
Some CSS errors also:

Quote:
W3C CSS Validator results for http://www.talkjesus.com/ (CSS level 2.1)
Sorry! We found the following errors (14)
URI : http://www.talkjesus.com/
743 .closebutton Property _background doesn't exist : none
743 .closebutton attempt to find a semi-colon before the property name. add it
743 .closebutton Property progid doesn't exist : DXImageTransform
743 .closebutton Parse Error DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader(src='g oldbrick/images/close.png', sizingMethod='scale');

743 height Parse Error height:30px;

743 Unknown pseudo-element or pseudo-class :relative
743 position Parse Error relative;
743 top Parse Error top:-15px;
743 width Parse Error width:30px;
743 width Parse error - Unrecognized ;}
Which appears to be coming from the goldbrick_header template, this line

Code:
 /* Mac-style close button  */.closebutton{_background:none;_filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader(src='goldbrick/images/close.png', sizingMethod='scale');background:url(goldbrick/images/close.png);cursor:pointer;height:30px;left:15px;position:relative;top:-15px;width:30px;}
I used a CSS cleaner tool and come up with this:

Quote:
/* Mac-style close button */
.closebutton {
_background:none;
_filterrogidXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaIma geLoader(src='goldbrick/images/close.png', sizingMethod='scale');
background:url(goldbrick/images/close.png);
cursorointer;
height:30px;
left:15px;
position:relative;
top:-15px;
width:30px;
}
Errors remained. I then removed these two lines and the css errors were gone

Quote:
_background:none;
_filterrogidXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaIma geLoader(src='goldbrick/images
I tested it afterwards in IE7 and Firefox 3. Worked fine, noticed no difference.

Also, any plans to add SlideShare? That would be awesome.

NICE MOD! I've been using it forever now. I have a problem though. How do I go about changing the flash video player's default size? It defaults to 320 x something, but I want mine (when playing flv video in GoldBrick) to default to 720 x 405. Where can this be changed? I can't find the code in the AdminCP and changing the default size in the Goldbrick options doesn't work... HELP!

Thanks in advance.
Ben
