[DBTech] Dragonbyte Gallery v1 (vB4)
Developer Last Online: Mar 2023
Dragonbyte Gallery is a fully functional gallery system addon for your forum that will allow your users to create their own photo albums to store and display their images. You can run multiple instance of the gallery on the same site with the same files, yet have a completely different look and function because of the modular sytem it was built on. Users can customize how their gallery profile is displayed on each instance.

Each instance can have a different look and feel to it, and with enough work can have a completely different function because of the system we built it on. AJAX integration We used AJAX wherever we could to help reduce the page reloads Automatic resizing and thumbnail creation As long as your server can handle it, the users can upload whatever size pictures they want. The gallery will control the size displayed and stored, and will even create a thumbnail, all automatically. Users no longer have to worry about resizing their images to fit what your forum specifies. If you do not have a server with the power to resize images (GD image library can get pretty memory intensive) then you can set the gallery to reject images that do not fit into your size criteria. User Albums Users can create their own image albums to organize and display sets of their images. Albums can also be set to hidden and/or password protected. So users who want to have images for only certain friends or not visible to anyone else at all can easily organize them. Complete Feature List (Lite)

How to access : /your forum root/dbtech/gallery/images/upload (change to 0777) / 1( change to 0777) leave the rest on default. What it does, any pics you upload in gallery goes into that upload/1 folder and if u have permission anything other then 0777 it won't upload images, but once u change it to 0777 and u go to upload/1/1/full or thumbnail ... folder you will see ur images in there and you will be able to see them in your gallery as well. Hope this helps. Thanks. |

I wanted to know if this option exists or if this option can/will be added in next relases??
As of now if you attach an image from computer while creating new thread, it shows up in the gallery, but if you put an image url from 3rd party it doesn't. Is this option available and i am missing it or it's not an option at all ??? Or any code i can add somewhere so it can pick images which are being posted via url as well ?? Thanks. |

I really loved this mod, but unfortunately uninstalling it for the above reason. If you guys ever come up with this option as well where image can be shown in gallery which are being posted via url method as well... I will definitely have it back. Or if you can suggest any way to do it.
Excellent work from DBT though. |

Have you created a gallery instance? Before importing vBalbums. I had the same problem, also make sure your folder called dbtech/gallery/images/upload is set to 755
