[DBTech] Dragonbyte Gallery v1 (vB4)
Developer Last Online: Mar 2023
Dragonbyte Gallery is a fully functional gallery system addon for your forum that will allow your users to create their own photo albums to store and display their images. You can run multiple instance of the gallery on the same site with the same files, yet have a completely different look and function because of the modular sytem it was built on. Users can customize how their gallery profile is displayed on each instance.

Each instance can have a different look and feel to it, and with enough work can have a completely different function because of the system we built it on. AJAX integration We used AJAX wherever we could to help reduce the page reloads Automatic resizing and thumbnail creation As long as your server can handle it, the users can upload whatever size pictures they want. The gallery will control the size displayed and stored, and will even create a thumbnail, all automatically. Users no longer have to worry about resizing their images to fit what your forum specifies. If you do not have a server with the power to resize images (GD image library can get pretty memory intensive) then you can set the gallery to reject images that do not fit into your size criteria. User Albums Users can create their own image albums to organize and display sets of their images. Albums can also be set to hidden and/or password protected. So users who want to have images for only certain friends or not visible to anyone else at all can easily organize them. Complete Feature List (Lite)

Ok after a few silly installation problems (all my fault) I read through all of the comments but couldn't see this reported.
In IE Pictures set to 1024 x 1024 are set nicely but unusually Firefox 14.01 allows the picture to bleed over the stats on the side. (See the two attachments I've uploaded). Also could I confirm that the url for the gallery is as follows as I don't use the VB menu system Code:
http://yoursite.com/dbtgallery.php?do=view_image&id=8&gal=gallery |

hi there why do i get this error
The installation script created the folders for the default instance but the directory is not writeable. You will need to fix the permissions on the folders for the product to work correctly. Please check the permissions on the dbtech/gallery/images/upload/ and dbtech/gallery/images/upload/1 folders. Once you fix the permissions you can verify that future instances will be created correctly by checking the Image Upload Path in the ACP settings Gallery Image Options area. This is also the location that needs to be changed if you want to modify the file location. i did chmod the folders to 777 can u tell me plz... im usin vb 4 .2 thankyou |

Just one more thing I noticed that the Facebook like doesn't post the picture to Facebook or a link back. Only a link back to the main website.

Is there any way of setting it so when you click on the gallery tab, it goes straight to latest albums, rather than categories ?

For now though, if you want to hack it... Edit the instance and set it to display images instead of categories open dbtech/gallery/modules/gallery/actions/main.php Where it says PHP Code:

Just added v1.1.3 which fixes the following:
Fixed - Hidden albums not being hidden Fixed - vB Gallery importer not importing all images Fixed - missing image killing next/previous buttons I also put in a ACP maintenance section to remove orphaned image db entries. Dylan |
