Modification Description

This modification allows you to manage tournaments and ladders on your forum. It provides interactibility both for forum members and forum admin.

Tournament Types:

• Single Elimination Tournaments
• Last Man Standing Tournaments
• Double Elimination Tournaments
• Round Robin Tournaments also called all-play-all tournament
• Double Round Robin

Ladder Description:

Users or teams can join ladders and challenge other players or teams in the ladder. Elo rating system is used which calculates the difficultly of a match according to the players' ranks and this is taken into account when the ranks are updated after the match is finished.

  • Hall of Fame (Top 10 Tournament Players)
  • Permissions can be set per usergroup
    (AdminCP -> Usergroups -> Usergroup Manager -> {Select Usergroup} -> Tournament Permissions)
  • Tournaments start automatically when no slots are left
  • Tournaments have proper Date/ Time converted to users timezone and DST
  • 3 Tournament Modes: Last Man Standing, Single Elimination, Double Elimination and Round Robin
  • Filter Tournaments Displayed according to Tournament Status
  • Tournament User Stats Page
  • 'Start Tournament' for Single Elimination adds bye players and creates brackets

I guess it's random otherwise?

Edit: the problem is with plugin vBExperience (links)] executed on hook location global_setup_complete

Change hook location from global_setup_complete to process_templates_complete and that should fix issue.

1. Yes for ladder challenge results, not for tournaments

Check that you have uploaded bitfield_tournament2008.php to /includes/xml/

In my tournament structure I am having problems with moving 1 particular team forward, after each team name on the ladder there is a button with to arrows [>>] called progress. however this button doesn't work, I was wondering if anyone could help me?
