For some reason I can't seem to find where in my control panel to fix this permission issue. Here is what I get:
"
You may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
"
I must not be looking in the correct location? :|
Go to admincp and for each usergroup, there is a new option to make the vbjirc chat available to them. By default, no one has privs to access it, even admin. You only have to do this for each USERGROUP, not each individual user

I got this error when I installed it per the instructions from the vbulletin-chat.com. That was before I discovered there was this addon. I am not sure what causes this, but it is possible it is a browser/software error on your end. Try to see if another user gets same result? Dunno.

Where do we get the IRC channel, etc.
You install the mod, per the instructions in the package.
I think you can actually do all that from your site, as far as getting your own channel and nickname and all. But there's the full instructions at that link.
To setup an empty chat channel just type /join #whateverchannelnameyouwant
To create a nick: /nick #thenicknameyouwant
To register a nick : /msg nickserv register mypass myemail@address.com but the email address is OPTIONAL
To register a channel: /msg chanserv register #mychan mypass mydescription You can't register a channel without registering a nick.
The only problem I'm having now is that when accessing my own channel from my site, it does not recognize me as the admin. But when I do it from the vbulletin-chat.com it does.
Managed to get through the blips but this one has me wondering in circles. Any ideas?
I am unable to connect past this error.
N'mind, the presets were the problem, apparently the script doesn't like multiple word "real names" (odd)
The remaining issue seems to be the styles not shoring in the chat page. I have mirrored the forumhome template and replaced the $forumbits with the $vbjirc[main] and to my surprise the styles are still MIA.
