Goldbrick Media system for vBulletin 3.6.x
Thanks to all who nominated or voted this for MOTM.
Some of you might be looking for Anymedia. Well this has replaced it. It's a total rewrite from the ground up. A huge thanks goes to Sir Adrian for creating the framework. He can't cook soup but he sure can code.
Why the name goldbrck?
From Wikipedia:
Quote:
Goldbricking, in today's terms, generally refers to staff who use their work internet access for personal reasons while maintaining the appearance of working.
From Urban Dictionary:
Quote:
Goldbricking: To loaf or goof around on the job. Supposedly an old union term describing laborers (or more specifically, bricklayers) who were going so slow, it was as if each brick were made of solid gold. One can alse be referred to as a "goldbricker".
Dude, I spent all day at work goldbricking - surfing the web, making long distance phone calls - basically just picking my ass.
Goldbrick uses the following third party Products:

ok now i got the Error: unsupported media type. on putfile.com and same in other flashplayer upgrade....NIX please help and fix this i really need want this
Thanx
I was using Crist's old version with vb 3.6.4 and it was working fine. Then it stopped working with Google video, so here I am to upgrade, and for the most part it appears to be working fine.
Of course, when a video is posted via QuickReply, it doesn't show up right away. The user has to refresh the page for it to appear. That part was to be expected; it was the same with the old version and my users are accustomed to that behavior.
As mentioned above, however, the new version shows the collapsed player with this text: "You need to upgrade your FlashPlayer tags."
But a simple refresh (as usual) makes the video appear.
So what does that warning mean, and how can I change to say something more helpful, like, "This video will appear with a page refresh." ???
nix, any idea when the "Use AnyMedia Player for which video sites?" Option will be allowed to be used ... I would really prefer using the AnyMedia FlashPlayer, rather then the video hosting's sites player.
I'll 2nd this question... all my users embed are Google and YouTube video, really. And even though I check the checkboxes for these two in "Use AnyMedia Player for which video sites?" it ignores my setting and uses the hosting site's player.
thanks fot this realy nice mod, but i have a problem.
1. I uploaded all to the right place
2. I Imported the right product
3. I changed the templates following the installtion.html
4. I dont change the default seetings / any media BBCode is on
5. All Usergoups have permissions to Any Media BBCode
But the M BBCode button is not present in editor, and if i add the BBCode manuel in Posts i dont work.
vB Version is 3.6.7
Any Media BBCode 3.0.8.1

Its not that I can't make it work. The reason it stopped working is because everyone figured out that the way they where doing their crossite.xml was a huge security risk. The only way to do it now is if the website as an API. Youtube has one but you need a developers id.

Thanks for your continued work on this!
The quickreply I wouldn't really consider a bug. But you should'nt have to refresh a regular page. If you want to change it its in the anymedia template. But its basically means you don't have flash or you don't have javascript.
