No support by the author.

This modification will allow your members to RSVP to events on the vBulletin calendar. By default, members can respond "Yes," "No," or "Maybe," as to whether or not they will be able to attend an event, but you can modify or add to the list of responses members are presented with as you desire.

Features
  • Specify some or all of your calendars to use the RSVP system.
  • Set whether an event accepts RSVPs during event creation / edit.
  • Allow members to specify if they will be bringing a guest.
  • Event owners can set the maximum number of guests each member may bring.
  • Events can be set to close RSVPs on the day of the event or before.
  • RSVP comments (up to 65k character limit, configurable)
  • Timestamped RSVPs
  • Moderators and event owners can remove member RSVPs from events.
  • Attendance list can be set to display member avatars.
  • Improved handling of differing timezones and daylight saving times.
  • Configurable Response options. You aren't stuck with Yes, No, Maybe. You can setup whatever responses you want.
  • Ability to specify a maximum number of attendees for an event. After the maximum is reached, you can configure members to either receive an error or have their response (RSVP) automatically changed to something else. This could be used to create a wait-list bucket, for instance.

I think I have a bead on why that is happening, yes. I'll try to push a new version out this weekend.

Yes! We can upgrade now! *happy dance*

So my bug from the prior thread - I'd like to sort the RSVP's by usergroup. Typically it's by Name (alphabetically) or RSVP Time (which is great!)

We have a function whereas the longer someone is in our guild, the higher the rank they are. We would like our usergroups to show Yes/Maybe/No. Is that possible?

Awesome, awesome work!

This is my last ditch attempt at asking what we need to do, to rectify the rsvp page.

Image enclosed is how we have rsvp's output from template calendar_rsvp_bit

I am not sure as previously stated, what templates or code calls what. But this template reproduces "one" result. Therefore it must be called by some other template. I imagine sitting in an if else loop.

The issue is, because it is called within this loop, the rsvp's are returned sequentially. However this could be better returned, if I knew what templates were either side of this one, calendar_rsvp_bit.

Does this make sense.

Ok in more detail.

If I know what comes before and after the call for calendar_rsvp_bit I can code accordingly, to then produce the output as per Image 2 ( showing rsvp's side by side )

I imagine somewhere we must have :

<!--code above here-->
code to display calendar_rsvp_bit
<!--code below here-->

I just cannot find where calendar_rsvp_bit is called from

The loop you are talking about is actually in the code. The container is the calendar_rsvp, if memory serves. Other than that, I do not provide free support for customizing this modification for your own purposes. I'm sorry, it's just that I don't have the time, so I provide these mods with functionality as-is.

Actually I dont think it is too much to ask, what templates call what templates.

In fact how that would be classed as "non free support"is beyond me.

If I create a page that pulls x y and z and displays this that and other, and someone wants to customize or recode a Badly designed "other" then its fair I think for us to ask the questions.

Your support is pretty crap mate. You ticked the box when you ported your mod over "agree to support"

You have a very poorly designed "calendar_rsvp_bit"

For me or anyone to ask, what is the preceeding code to this and get feedback from you, to allow us to IMPROVE your mod and then to share that change with others, enhances your mod.

However I guage from your reply, that you are implying anything other that "basic" is at cost.

Shame

Uninstalled. Wasted enough time trying to improve this to no avail

Let me clarify what level of support I'm willing to offer, because that checkbox obviously means something different to you than it does to me. It means that I am actively trying to resolve any bugs that are found and post new releases. If someone posts an actual bug, that means I am going to spend time and research it. Further, I am willing to answer basic questions on how to install the product if someone is having difficulty. That is the extent of it. If that checkbox means something more than that, then I will certainly uncheck it.

I do not support changes to the modification itself. If you want to make changes, then you're on your own.

TimberFloor, while this may not be my business. Vbulletin.org is free and the people here do this service for free. You therefore have no right to bombart them with offensive comments which have to do with their support on the product they develop.
