There's a vB4 version of this mod available: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=231427
DownloadsII DownloadsII is a download database that integrates into vBulletin. It allows you to upload files, add images to them, create categories, link to external files - and more. It is very flexible and has many options. Because a lot of people keep on asking this: This mod works with any version of vBulletin 3.7.x and 3.8.x! It's also coded 100% XHTML 1.0 Transitional valid, just like vBulletin itself. Instructions & Support You can find an installation manual in the zip package (Readme-Install.txt). We try to answer most questions asked in this thread. Please don't send any pm's if we don't ask for them, as we said we try to give a high level of support in this thread. Don't forget to click the install link, so you will receive important update notifications. Screenshots & Live demo At the bottom of this post, you can find 6 screenshots of the front-end and back-end (AdminCP part) of the DownloadsII software. You can see the newest version in action at the Minatica.be Downloads (Dutch). Changelog (version 5.1.2) Jelle
Help!!! I can't upload large files?? This is probably the second most asked question. Have a look at this post for the solution. It doesn't work with GARS?! If you also use the latest version of GARS, you will get the "Fields marked in RED must be filled in!" error when uploading a file. I provided a fix here on the GARS forums. Addons We are offering 3 addons for this mod at the moment (have a look at the bottom of this post for them). DownloadsII contains 5 hook locations for the vBulletin plugin systems, so you can add extra functionality without file edits. Do you want to help expanding DownloadsII (if you are a coder)? 2. This isn't possible at the moment, but probably in the future it will. Quote:
2. Line 5721 of /includes/functions.php is the global_complete hook, but DownloadsII isn't using this plugin location. So the PHP warning is caused by another mod. You will get the security token error when an upload is timing out, which is caused by a PHP server setting. Have a look at http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showp...23&postcount=3 (the vB attachment system will give you the same problem with large files). Quote:
Did you upload the upload folder itself (wrong)? Or only its content (correct)? |

Thanks for the quick answer Jelle! Do you have any idea how to find out which mod is causing the problem with DownloadsII? Perhaps good to know for other members as well. I have many mods installed so it will be hard for me to find out if I have to check it manually.
Thanks again for the help! |

As its name says, the global_complete hook is being used a lot. You can sort plugins on their hook location at the plugin manager. Then find out which of them are using a foreach() function in their PHP code. |

Yes Jelle, I thought of that as well and worked it out. The problem was being caused by vBSEO - DownloadsII. It's an add-on for your own mod, re-writing all the downloads to SEF urls. I will contact vBSEO that there is a problem when using it. Truly a shame and hopefully, they will be able to find a fix for it because it's such a good mod. It just shows the url with the downloadtitle in it.
BUT.... the other error message is still present. I mean this one: "Maximum Upload Limit would be Exceeded by this file. Try a smaller file." It's really weird because most members don't encounter this problem but only some do. And those members never had a problem because. It just kicked in... Any idea because it's kind of important that I fix it. My top uploader has this problem and I'm missing quite a few downloads now. Thanks Jelle! And respect to the Dutch speaking lads! |

There seems to be a few questions on how to get the Latest Files displayed on another page (template) or in another area in the sidebars. Since this thread is already 35+ pages long, does anyone know if this has been answered?
Is an include needed somewhere or how do we go about using $dpanel_latest_bits in another VB template or page? I know about VBA and it's working fine for me, but can't figure it out for sections like the sidepanel, header, navbar, footer, etc. |

Yes, using IE. I dont have the box showing to me when it happens, but I did notice it each time I edit a file. Is there something wrong with the code that gives that error?
