DownloadsII is a download database that integrates into vBulletin. It allows you to upload files, add images to them, create categories, link to external files - and more. It is very flexible and has many options.
Because a lot of people keep on asking this: This mod works with any version of vBulletin 3.7.x and 3.8.x!
It's also coded 100% XHTML 1.0 Transitional valid, just like vBulletin itself.
Instructions & Support
You can find an installation manual in the zip package (Readme-Install.txt).
We try to answer most questions asked in this thread. Please don't send any pm's if we don't ask for them, as we said we try to give a high level of support in this thread. Don't forget to click the install link, so you will receive important update notifications.
Screenshots & Live demo
At the bottom of this post, you can find 6 screenshots of the front-end and back-end (AdminCP part) of the DownloadsII software. You can see the newest version in action at the Minatica.be Downloads (Dutch).
Changelog (version 5.1.2)

You can find all the changelogs of this and older versions here.
Help!!! I can't upload large files??
This is probably the second most asked question. Have a look at this post for the solution.
It doesn't work with GARS?!
If you also use the latest version of GARS, you will get the "Fields marked in RED must be filled in!" error when uploading a file. I provided a fix here on the GARS forums.
Addons
We are offering 3 addons for this mod at the moment (have a look at the bottom of this post for them). DownloadsII contains 5 hook locations for the vBulletin plugin systems, so you can add extra functionality without file edits.

Notes
ecDownloads Buddy is NOT compatible with this version. If you are using the Buddy, you should UNINSTALL it before installing DownloadsII ver 5.x.x. The Buddy's features are now integrated into DownloadsII.
DownloadsII is a direct derivative work from Ron1n's ecDownloads.
There is also one minor glitch with the admin import function -- when I use the admin import all the stats disappear until I upload or edit a file as a user. (and the files uploaded by admin using the admincp import do not show under the admin cp downloads screen unless they are edited by a user)
Have you added the link in the navbar template? It's explained in Readme-Install.txt
You also need to set your permissions correctly, otherwise you get a "no permission" page.
permissions OK.
the link NOW is ok!!! in my FORUM....
but in my portal the downloads link is wrong....in NAVBAR
my forum is in \public\forum
my portal (site home page) is in \public
is the problem for this====
in fact the downloads link in portal goes to a blank wrong page where the url is \public
Quote:
To show it on your vBa CMPS portal page, you need to install this add-on
in portal i see only downloads link in navbar....see above...
but in VBA ADMIN in ADMINCP i see the module download for setting....
lol its not buggy your entering in 15 which would be 15 bytes you ave to read it.
It says
Quote:
This is the maximum MB that a user can download in one day. Set this to -1 for there to be NO limit.
So I expect to have to enter 15 if I want 15 MB.
Still it is buggy.
When I enter a value up to 15 I get the message "download exceeded" right away.
With values 20 and up (and I'm really sure about 50 and up) its counting MB's allright.

I've you want to PM me your site URL along with an admin username and password, I'll check it out. I can't figure out any way that our code would have some magic switch at 15. It's pretty straightforward:
Very nice! A couple minor details:
1.) the credits include a link to http://www.elitecoders.org/ which requests a password or gives an authorization denied. So possibly that link should not be there???
2.) under Options -> ec download options it says "The relative path to your download folder. Do not change unless you know what your doing!" The second your should be you're.
That's the site of the old developer, we have to keep that old copyright, but maybe we remove the url if the site isn't avaiable any more.
Will be fixed in the new version

I will take a look at this later today
@ThunderBeast: AdminCP -> vBa CMPS -> Default Settings -> Navbar Replacements
That should fix the wrong url's (add downloads.php to the list).
Can you give the url of your site for the second problem and maybe explain it a bit, because I don't understand the problem. Be sure you have followed all the steps to add the vBa CMPS module and check the module permissions (AdminCP -> vBa CMPS -> Quick Permissions Editor).
I don't think we are going to add a mass edit feature. Normally you just give your download a good name and that's all (or you mass import and edit them with the mass import feature).
The next release includes better usergroup limitations (total # downloads per day), but not with number of post per day at the moment. Maybe we create an add-on for this.
