DragonByte Technologies are proud to present User Status & Moods v1: A mini mod to give your members the option of setting Facebook-like status updates / mood.


Why User Status & Moods?

Sometimes, a simple "mood" isn't enough. DBTech's User Status & Moods mods lets your members put their current doings and feelings into a short message to be displayed next to their posts and in their profiles.

What does 'Marking As Installed' do ?

* It helps you to stay on top of updates - members who have installed modifications will be notified by us whenever new updates are available.

* For security issues - vbulletin.org will contact all members who have installed a modification whenever a security issue is brought to their attention.

* Marking a modification as installed also helps us know how many people are using our work, giving us extra incentive to provide more features and new modifications.

Major Features

In-Line Editing: You can quickly update your status either from your profile, or from any of your posts, all with AJAX and all without reloading the page.

Postbit Integration: Members' statuses will show next to all their posts.

Profile Integration: Edit statuses and show a list of recent statuses in a member's profile.

To Install:

1. Upload all files in the "upload" folder to your forum.
2. Import the product file via the product manager in your AdminCP.
3. Done!

I followed the instructions and when I got to step 4 I clicked on import and in the main window I got this:

Not Found

The requested URL /forum/administration/dbtech_status.php was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

n/m I had to move dbtech_status.php to my "administration" folder not the "admincp"

Hi nice mod. But when I try to select the mood icon www.britmovie.net/britforum the list comes up and i see the icons. I try to select one but you cant select any so the mood stays as default. Any ideas please?

Does anyone know how I can make a vbadvanced module to show the latest member status changes along with either the members avatar or profile picture. I would like to show maybe the top 2 or 3 most recent profile changes on my vbadvanced page..

I’m a bit of a newb though. I would like to remove the status update from the postbit and just keep it on the user profile. Maybe remove is. Could someone explain to a complete newb where I would go do this?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean here. Do you mean show the latest statuses on the frontpage?

Open SITE_ROOT/dbtech/status/hooks/postbit_display_complete.php and remove the following line on Line #23

When I tried to solve the above by uninstalling and installing the product I get multiple criteria as shown in the attachment below.

Also noticed in the left of the admin the three links bring up 404 error not found when clicking (manager,import,criteria)

Any help welcome.

Please ensure that you have all files uploaded and make sure you have followed the steps in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6R3GLxmlmVo. A 404 error for any of the above usually means that the file is not uploaded.
