vBCredits - Ultimate Points System Details »» | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
vBCredits is the ultimate points system for your vBulletin!
Click here for the vB3.6 compatible version Yes, this also works for vB3.8! Thank you to everyone who voted us MOTM Features:
Just follow the directions carefully in the zip based on whether you are clean installing or upgrading Fully integrated with vBulletin and easily integrated with third party scripts: Many hacks allow you to specify a points system by entering the table and column for the points data. Use TABLE: user COLUMN: credits when integrating vBCredits with such hacks (note: you may need to include your table prefix with some hacks)! If you are unsure about integration - ask me! Why is this version not the gold version yet? vBCredits 1.4rc1 went through a long bugtesting process at the official site, and rc2 is largely bug free in its entirety. However, *it is missing most of the admin help and post/thread deletion actions are temporarily removed while I figure out how to fix them. Footnotes: Thank you for using vBCredits, I would be happy to hear your feedback and correct anything that comes up. For more tailored support, please indicate you have installed this hack, and if you like it you can nominate this for MOTM. Use of this free hack requires that you retain the copyright line at the bottom of the forum (PM me otherwise). If you do not agree with this, please do not use vBCredits - thank you for your understanding and support! Show Your Support

there is a shop and several addons for integrating vbcredits into other addons, most of them for free, available on my site (link in sig)

How is version 2 coming along?
Because that 1 issue is still preventing me from using this modification to its full potential.

i am waiting to see what vb4's plugin system looks like before i start development. if its radically improved (like say, on the level of drupal or wordpress) then i will develop vbcredits 2.0 for vb4 only. however, regardless of platform, the new version will only be available on my site - still for free though.

I've only looked through the first 30 pages, so I am unsure if this has been asked before, but how can I implement the credits.php page which displays the top four "Richest Users" (which is what I want) on the welcome panel of the forum home page?
I know that I have to edit the welcomepanel template, and I saw the 'credits_toprow' template which displays that I want, however I cannot get that to be displayed in the welcome panel. |

doing that requires some code changes, detailed in this thread

I have been trying to install the mod but keeps encountering this error when I import the product-credits.xml file.
Code:
Warning: require_once([path]/includes/functions_cron.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in [path]/admincp/plugin.php on line 2336 Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/user/public_html/url/includes/functions_cron.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') |

that is a file permissions error completely unrelated to vbcredits - it would show up for any addon you are trying to install that adds cron tasks. looks like you need to chmod functions_cron.php to at least 644, but it might be easier to pass that error along to your host/sysadmin

How do you change the amount of credits earned per each action? (posts, poll, register, etc) Or is it set and unchangeable?
