With 100+ support pages, its impossible for me to follow the posts her. That's why I opened in my site:I'll appreciate your understanding on the fact that this is a Free product, so don't expect superior level support, but I'll try my best with the help of Bug Tracker. Also note that even if you can suggest new features, these features will be include in the upcoming CMPS style version which will be Commercial. No plans exist for adding new features in the Free version. Just bug fixes. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- NEW VERSION 6.6.0 There are many new features to this version to list them now. Spend sometime to explore the new mod and you'll find them. The only that I want to mention is that the SEO rules that I've, are normal rules and not vbSeo rules. How to upgrade:
Chris 1.- How it works
This version fixes all posted bugs and corrects any styling issued by using external css files (microclassifieds/includes/classifieds.css). It also replace the inline blocks (Buy Now etc) with modal popup windows. 7.- Upgrade to ver.4.9.5
9.- Upgrade to ver.4.9.5a
11.- Upgrade to ver.4.9.5a

It would be nice for a button similar to the buy now button for placing a bid. Kind of like ebay, buy it now, place bid and best offer kind of thing. Would be pretty sweet!

Thanks for the update... really love this mod.
Is it possible to incorporate a button in classified that says something like "How to" So that users who don't know how to use the classified can click on that and see a tutorial on how to use the classified? If you are willing to do this I will put a comprehensive tutorial together in both html and flash video format and sent it to you to add to the downloads so that everyone can enjoy it. It will encourage more people to use this mod. I know I'm trying to coach a few off Facebook where they have a few groups trying to sell stuff but it isn't working for them. They want to come across but there isn't a users tutorial for them. |

Great Mod. Congrats! I tried to search the 82 pages of posts but couldn't find this already answered... We have installed the classified product and are able to create categories and add products for sale. (so the general database connection is working) Strangely, when we click on a the category to see the items for sale in the table/grid, we get the following error inline on the page:
Quote:
We can see products in the "Random Classifieds" and can click on them to view the details. We are at a loss as to why the database connection would only fail in this location. Thoughts/suggestions? --Ed |

// ****** DATABASE TYPE ******
// This is the type of the database server on which your vBulletin database will be located. // Valid options are mysql and mysqli, for slave support add _slave. Try to use mysqli if you are using PHP 5 and MySQL 4.1+ // for slave options just append _slave to your preferred database type. $config['Database']['dbtype'] = 'mysqli'; |

That appears to be the problem. I changed the access type to:
$config['Database']['dbtype'] = 'mysql'; and that table is now loading! Thanks Mike. --Ed |
