DESCRIPTION:
This is a Medals/Awards system. Admin can give members awards, and award icons will be displayed in member's profile, posts, as well as in a award list.

FEATURES:
In AdminCP
- Can Create/Edit/Delete/Reorder categories/sub-categories in ACP (with category name and description)
- Can Create/Edit/Delete awards in ACP (with Award Name, Description, Icon URL, Image URL)
- Can Move one (or all) award(s) from one category to another
- Can set some awards un-classified (not displayed for public)
- Can re-order awards in awards showcase
+ Issue awards to members, based on username or userid, with Issue Reason
+ Remove awards from members
- [1.2] Options to set number of awards displayed in postbit
- [1.2] Options to turn on/off showing award icon, images, award requests in awards list, awards icons in memberlist
- [2.1.3] Notify awarded user by PM/email
- [2.1.4] Option to turn on/off Award System in ModCP

In ModCP
+ Issue awards to members, based on username or userid, with Issue Reason
+ Remove awards from members

Front page
- Display awards list in with: Award Name, Description, Icon, Image, and Members who get each award.
- Display awards showcase in profile, with Award information, Issue time and reason
- Display award icons in postbit (showthread, showpost, announcement, private)
[1.2] Display limit awards in postbit, with total awards, and a link to awards showcase in member profiles.
[1.2] Award request, link to a form sending to email/PM/new thead or post (based on Dr Erwin Loh's Form hack)
[1.2] Display award on Memberlist page (by trulylowcarb)

CHANGES/MODIFICATION:
- Tables to add: 3 (award, award_user, award_cat)
- Files to add: 4 (/awards.php, /award_request.php, /admincp/award.php, /admincp/award_cat.php)
- Files to edit: 8 (/admincp/index.php, member.php, showthread.php, showpost.php, announcement.php, private.php, memberlist.php, /include/functions_online.php)
- Templates to edit: 5 (MEMBERINFO, postbit, postbit_legacy, memberlist, memberlist_resultsbit )

DIFFICULTY:
Easy
Time: about 5 minutes
Installer is included (1 product XML)

Change line 427 of award.php from

 WHERE username = '". $vbulletin->GPC['awardusername'] ."'

to

 WHERE username = '". mysql_real_escape_string( $vbulletin->GPC['awardusername'] ) ."'

Repeat for line 556, and the bug should disappear. If you're paranoid, repeat for every other variable used in an SQL query in the file, although in principle it looks okay.

Is this extension maintained? Are the maintainers on vacation or something, perhaps?

Well, that fixed the MA'AM problem - no more database error (Thanks again!) - BUT I'm still getting the mix up between 5peaches and MA'AM. Any ideas on that one?

Just so you understand, when I type in 5peaches and click SAVE it says "Give Award to MA'AM successfully" and then MA'AM shows on the award list.

As a workaround, you could try giving the award by user id instead of name.

ARGGGG !!! I am SUCH an idiot!!! I just realized that I'd been putting the "username" in both blanks, not understanding that the userid wasn't the name but the number! MA'AM is member #5 so that's why she was given the award. DUH!!

All I needed to do is leave the userid field blank and just put 5peaches in the username field.

Works perfectly now.

... due to some problems reported, and I haven't got time to fix it yet, I temporary put this release back to beta release. I might not have time to work on this for the next few weeks though. sorry for any inconvenient. any suggestions or fixes from other members would be greatly appreciated.

Okay so... if this is showing up like it should be in the postbit, do I need to worry about the problems that were reported?

Probably not unless you have a large site, which could get slowed down until the issue I first reported here gets fixed. The other issue probably isn't a huge deal ― if you get weird errors when giving awards, try using user id's instead of usernames.
